Whirlpool Induction Cooktops Error Codes
If your Whirlpool cooktop displays an error code, it’s letting you know something needs attention. Below are some common Whirlpool error codes, their meanings, and how we resolve them:
Cooking zone is hot due to recent use or heat transfer. Allow it to cool. The “H” will disappear once cooled.
Use a compatible induction pot, position it correctly, and ensure it matches the cooking zone size. If unresolved, the cooking zone will switch off automatically within 30 seconds.
Demo Mode is active. To disable: connect the cooktop to power, then press the "Booster" button on the bottom-left keypad for 5 seconds within the first minute.
Allow the cooktop to cool down. If using an empty pot, turn off the burner, remove the pot, add food or liquid, and restart the cooktop.
Use cookware made from ferromagnetic material (enameled steel, cast iron, or induction-compatible stainless steel). Test cookware with a magnet to ensure compatibility. Avoid using non-ferromagnetic materials like stainless steel, glass, ceramic, copper, or aluminum.
The power regulator limits levels based on the maximum value set for the cooktop. To adjust the power level: connect the cooktop to power, press the timer “+” button for 5 seconds, select the desired power using “+” and “-” and confirm with “OK.”
